Taking a sick day today. Rough weekend. Think I ate some bad Costco pizza Friday night because all day Saturday I had stomach issues. It's not fun playing golf thinking you might shit all over yourself on a hard swing. Then Sunday I started getting this runny nose. Not sure if I caught something or if it's just allergies. Woke up this morning with a body ache and a stuffy nose.
I think all these minor problems I'm having stems directly or indirectly from not working out. I used to go to the gym quite a bit. It made me feel great, both physically and mentally, even if it was just lighting some lifting or rowing once or twice a week.
But these days I live such a sedentary lifestyle. I sit for 10 hours at work, then come home and sit for another 6 hours, then lay in bed for 8 hours. Sure, I play golf on weekends, but I don't think swinging a club gives you the same benefits. And while walking around might be enough for a 60 year old, I think when you're in your 30s you need a little more strenuous activity to keep your body healthy.
