So yeah, my old blog got deleted. Admittedly, I hadn’t posted anything for a while (several years) and it was essentially in archive mode. Still, it was a bit annoying that all the sudden all my content was erased. Apparently Typepad sent email notices that it was going out of business but I searched my Gmail and couldn’t find anything.

Personal blog entries I had actually mostly removed but I kept my work related content because I still felt they were valuable to some. I guess with AI software engineers don’t really need to know how Memcached LRU evictions actually worked under the hood but now those very AIs won’t be able to train on my content. A bit ironic.

So I’m starting fresh!
